I have really sensitive skin, and the Very Clear’s new formula really burns my skin (though it’s still great for more oily skin — say, if a dog likes to roll its face all over yours daily), so I decided to give this a shot. It’s awesome! It smells AMAZING and it makes my skin so smooth! It’s a bit more expensive for me (a whole dollar right now!), but definitely worth it if your skin is a bit more sensitive.
I would *not* classify this as “hydrating,” but there are some things I really love about it, namely that it’s healing all the little dry patches on my skin, and my skin feels softer than before I started using it.
To help keep the cleanser from completely stripping my skin, I only use a pea-size amount, and I only use a washcloth very lightly once a day (prior, I was using about a quarter-sized amount of the cleanser and scrubbing the crap out of my skin, meaning my skin was getting very dry after cleansing). I use jojoba oil as a moisturizer after (just one drop), and that helps balance everything back out.
I have *extremely* sensitive skin, along with some allergies, and this cleanser doesn’t make me react at all, not even the scent.
